In-House Veterinary Diagnostics/Radiology
Veterinary diagnostics are tools that allow us to look beneath the surface to identify, diagnose, and treat illnesses in a timely manner. HAC offers many different options to help evaluate the health of your pet. We have the capability to run in-house bloodwork before an anesthetic procedure or when your pet enters our hospital with an emergency. We are able to perform heartworm testing for dogs and FeLV/FIV screening for cats and have the results within minutes. If your pet has a bleeding disorder, a PT/PTT test can be done to determine appropriate treatment. Additional important tests that are offered in our clinic include intraocular eye pressure, blood pressure, eye staining to detect abrasions and ulcers, and tear testing to diagnose dry eyes. Our convenient in-house laboratory allows us to get fast, accurate results so that we can focus on developing and implementing an appropriate course of action.

If your pet is sick or injured, they may need an x-ray to help our veterinarians diagnose and treat your pet appropriately. HAC offers digital x-rays with images produced in minutes. The veterinarian will evaluate theses images. If further consultation is needed, the images can be sent to a radiologist for review and results are reported back very quickly.
